Nourish and restore body, mind, and spirit. Practice simple strategies to reclaim more rhythm and joy. Our evening will begin with a gentle, seated, movement and self- applied touch practice designed to awaken the senses and nourish the nervous system. From there, we'll take time to set intentions and explore a variety of materials to create personalized mandalas. Mandalas are ancient, spiritual symbols found in many cultures that have repeating colors, shapes and patterns radiating from the center.. The word itself means “circle” or “center” in Sanskrit circular designs Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Jung, believed that a mandala is " the psychological expression of the totality of the self" and that drawing mandalas is a way to get in touch with your intuition, a path to self discovery. The act of creating mandalas has a centering affect has been said to be a sacred, spiritual practice that can calm our thinking brain and help us integrate and make sense of the experiences of our lives. No previous experience necessary. All supplies and snacks will be provided.
